Parenting - support and advice

Parenting is the most important job that we do but it can be hard work. All parents worry about their children at times, and about whether they are doing a good enough job. Parents often get lots of advice (not always asked for!) and it can be hard to figure out what will work for your family.

One excellent book to help families is ‘The Incredible Years: A trouble shooting guide for parents of children aged 2 – 8 years’. This is a practical guide about how to promote your child’s social and emotional development and how to manage difficult behaviours in children. It is available from libraries and can also be purchased on Amazon.
