What about treatment?

Support in Hospital
If you are very distressed by your symptoms and they put you or others at risk, the doctor may think the best place for treatment is the hospital. Hospital should be a place of safety and treatment. While you are there, mental health nurses can care for you and the doctor can make sure your medication is working effectively. For more information on drug treatments for bipolar conditions, click here to go to the Royal College of Psychiatrists' website.
