Contact a family Scotland: Contact a Family is the only UK-wide charity providing advice, information and support to the parents of all disabled children - no matter what their health condition. We also enable parents to get in contact with other families, both on a local and national basis.

Home Start: Home Start provides informal and friendly support for families with young children. Their support is free, confidential and non-judgmental.

Netmums: Netmums is a family of local sites that cover the UK, each site offering information to mothers on everything from where to find playgroups and how to eat healthily to where to meet other mothers.  The local sites are backed by a wealth of parenting articles that start with pregnancy and follow through each stage of childhood helping mums to enjoy a happy and healthy family life.

One Parent Families Scotland: One Parent Families Scotland is a voluntary organisation working on behalf of lone parents and their families. Their members include individual lone parents, various organisations working with lone parents and others who just simply want to support the cause of lone parents.

Groups and Services in Fife

Fife Gingerbread: Fife Gingerbread provides an accessible, approachable and non-judgemental support, advice and information to lone parents in Fife, with a view to empowering them and promoting their welfare. They run groups and have crèche provision during these. Groups are in Cupar, Glenrothes, Leven, Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath. They also offer one to one support, home visits and phone support.

The Cottage Family Centre:  The Cottage provides a family centre, serving Kirkcaldy which caters for the needs of families with pre-school children. They have activities for children and parents, including a childcare, groups and a thrift shop.
