National Domestic Violence Helpline:  Partnership between Women's Aid and Refuge. Can provide access to 24-hour emergency accommodation. Has translation facilities.  Calls from landlines will not appear on the telephone bill.  Friends and families of those who may be in danger can also call for support.

Shakti Women’s Aid: Shakti is an organisation based in Edinburgh that helps women who are experiencing domestic abuse. They offer a Fife outreach team.  They offer support and information to all black minority ethnic women (over 16 years) and their children experiencing and/or fleeing domestic abuse from partners/husbands, ex-partners or other family members. They also offer an outreach service for children and young people (up to 18 years). Languages spoken include Arabic, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Singhalese, Swahili and Urdu.
